Mulgrave Cricket Club has announced the signing of Sri Lanka’s Test opener Lahiru Thirimanne for their season.
In a statement, Mulgrave Cricket Club said, “Mulgrave Cricket Club are thrilled to announce the signing of current Sri Lankan international, Lahiru Thirimanne during his time off with his family.
Lahiru played 42 Tests for Sri Lanka, with three tons and a top score of 155*. He has also played 127 ODIs and 26 T20s.”
Lahiru will join a set of Sri Lanka legends who are part of the Mulgrave Cricket Club for the 2021/22 season.
Former Sri Lanka skipper T.M. Dilshan will be captaining the side while Upul Tharanga will be a part of the side. Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya is the senior head coach of the club while Anusha Samaranayake is the assistant coach.
