Late Corporal HDD Prasanna who died last week due to injuries sustained during the war laid to rest with full Military honours

Late injured Corporal H.D.D Prasanna of the 11 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army was laid to rest at his hometown in Hali Ela on Saturday (24).

A resident of Attidiya ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ (MSM), Corporal H.D.D Prasanna had been under recuperation and rehabilitation for over 11 years after he sustained serious head injuries on 29 September 2008 while fighting in Visuamadu against the LTTE.

Corporal H.D.D Prasanna, who succumbed to his injuries on Thursday (21), was laid to rest with full Military honours, attended by a representative group of Senior Officers, Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment Officers and Other Ranks, fellow-soldiers of the Army, villagers and family members.
