The protests being carried out by the public are justifiable, former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake told reporters today.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) member said that life in jail is tough, but the people’s suffering is immense at present.
“The public’s protest is justifiable and valid. I’m not allowed to speak, as I am prohibited from making statements,” he said.
