Commissioner of Colombo Municipal Council Ms. Roshini Dissanayake, AAL has issued a statement, saying that patients resident within the Colombo Municipal Council jurisdiction who are registered with clinics coming under the purview of the Municipal Council, will be allowed to purchase their prescribed medicines for non-communicable diseases from the clinics and/or western medical shops which have been listed in her statement.
According to the statement, such patients shall carry a document of identification and the relevant prescription with them as a curfew pass when they’re out to purchase medicines. She has further stated that it is a mandatory requirement as communicated to her by DIG Ajith Rohana.
