A local politician has been arrested with heroin in Puttalam.
Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the 29 year old suspect is a member of Karuwalagaswewa Pradeshiya Sabha.
The local councillor was arrested with an another suspect in Bodhirajapura area in Puttalam.
9.2 grams of heroin were recovered from them.
