The big-hitting Surrey batsman became the tournament’s first centurion when he smashed an unbeaten 108 from 65 balls in Kings’ six-run success over Jaffna Stallions earlier this week.
Evans looked on course for another hundred on Friday, reaching 53 from 24 balls in the Kings’ table-topping clash against Dambulla Vikings before he was forced to retire hurt with a suspected abdominal strain.
“His condition is not so good. The physio is monitoring his condition, we will only know tomorrow if he can play or not” Colombo Kings Skipper Angelo Mathews said.

Nuwan Thushara aka Podi Malinga bowled a dream 2 overs against Kandy Tuskers in the knock out clash. He picked the price wicket of Kusal Perera and Gurbaz. But unfortunately he picked a knee injury and didn’t bowl his remaining 2 overs.
“He will train tonight, we will asses his condition during the session and take a decision” Galle Gladiators Skipper Bhanuka Rajapaksa said.
