The batsman with the highest strike rate in the history of T20 international cricket is surprisingly a Sri Lankan who didn’t play for Sri Lanka.
However he plays for the Kuwait cricket team.
His name is Ravija Sandaruwan, an old boy of Lumbini College Colombo. He has a T20I career strike rate of 165.8, which is above all current and former cricketers who have played the game. In the list of players with the highest strike rate, Glenn Maxwell of Australia sits at No. 2 with a Strike rate of 158.92.
After performing well for Lumbini college in School cricket, Ravija later played 1st class cricket in Sri Lanka representing Saracens Sports Club before moving to Kuwait where he gets to play international cricket.
He also has an impressive T20I batting average of 44.38.
