Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has resigned from one of his ministerial portfolios today.
Minister Amaraweera has resigned from his portfolio of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation.
The Minister informed the media that, however, he will remain in his portfolio as Minister of Agriculture.
He further said that he has decided to resign from one ministerial portfolio in order for the President to appoint another individual to the post.
Minister Amaraweera’s resignation comes amidst reports that several more ministers are to be appointed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe today. (NewsWire)
