Former President Maithirpala Sirisena has refuted media reports, published today, claiming that he is set to receive a ministerial portfolio.
Issuing a statement, Sirisena’s Media Unit said media reports stating that he is to be sworn-in as a Cabinet Minister are false.
The Media Unit further said the former President has not requested the Government to provide a ministerial portfolio or any other designation.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena is not expecting any such designations, it added. (NewsWire)
