A 54- year- old from Welimada has died after drowning in the basement of a construction site on Duplication Road in Colpetty.
The Police said the man had drowned due to the basement of the building getting inundated as a result of heavy rains experienced last night.
The Police suspect he may have got stuck in the basement due to the flooding.
The Postmortem examination will be conducted today to ascertain the cause of death. (NewsWire)
