Sri Lanka defeated West Indies by 6 runs to win the 3rd and final One Day International in Pallekale on Wednesday, routing Keiron Pollard’s team 3-0 in the series.
SriLanka batting first made 307 runs in the 50 overs, Windies chasing fell short of 6 runs thanks to an excellent spell of fast bowling from Angelo Mathews (59/4)
This is the 2nd consecutive ODI series win for Sri Lanka at home. Sri Lanka has now 10 out of 14 games played under Dimuth Karunaratne.
West Indies have not won an ODI on Sri Lankan soil since their 33-run win against Sri Lanka in August 2005.
