Minister Vasu calls on WHO & UNHRC to solve SL’s AstraZeneca shortage

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) have been called upon to resolve the shortage of the AstraZeneca Covishield coronavirus in Sri Lanka.

Minister Vasudeva Nanayakara, making the appeal, further said that the issue was a violation of human rights.

Pointing out that those who had received the first jab are yet to obtain the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Sri Lanka, he called on the two organizations to convene immediately to address the crisis. (NewsWire)
