Minister Vasu takes initiative to convert and recondition old unused Ministry vehicles

An unused vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Water Supply has been restored and was handed over to Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara today.

A Nissan Patrol SUV which had been abandoned due to an engine issue was restored by P.R. Holdings in Rajagiriya on the request of Minister Nanayakkara.

The organization had restored and reconditioned the vehicle for a low cost as a public service.

The vehicle which is estimated to cost Rs. 20 million was restored as part of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s National Policy to restore and reuse abandoned state properties.

Ministry of Water Supply is on the process of repairing several similar vehicles belonging to the ministry which were previously abandoned.
