Ministry of Highways in a statement denies reports that Construction work of the Central Expressway in the Gampaha District has been temporarily suspended.
Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga issuing a statement yesterday said that the work of the Central Expressway in the Gampaha District has been temporarily suspended.
Minister said that the Central Expressway construction plan will be reassessed following the criticism that several areas in the district got flooded recently due to Central Expressway constructions.
But today in a statement, Ministry of Highways says that no decision was taken to temporarily suspended construction work as claimed. (NewsWire)
