The saffron-robed monk, calling himself ‘Vishwa Buddha’, has been arrested by Police once again for issuing statements demeaning Buddhism.
CID officials have arrested the suspect at Kalagedihena.
The suspect was first arrested on 12th December and he was granted bail on January 8th by Colombo Chief Magistrate.
Since his release, he was seen participating several online talk shows.
Meanwhile, Senior journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama said that he has been summoned before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) next week.
Samarawickrame has been summoned reportedly over a program he had with the suspect arrested today. (NewsWire)
