Top Indian actor Mammootty will feature in the Netflix original ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yatra’, of which parts of the filming will be in Kadugannawa, Kandy.
‘Kadugannawa Oru Yatra’ is a segment in the anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s short stories.
The featurette is based on MT’s memoir and is a continuation of his short story Ninte Ormakku.
The memoir follows MT’s search for a girl, whom he had met in his childhood, while he went to Sri Lanka as part of his job as a journalist.
Mammootty will be playing the character named PK Venugopal, who is based on MT himself.
Malayalam superstar Mammootty and director Ranjith will be teaming up after a gap of five years for Netflix’s upcoming anthology.
Ranjith and Mammootty’s short film is the final segment to be shot for the anthology. (NewsWire)
