Move to sell shares of Kerawalapitiya Power Plant : Govt party leaders object

A group of Government political pary leaders say that the Kerawalapitiya thermal power plant will be protected in the same way how the Eastern Container Terminal of the Colombo port was protected.

This was informed by 10 government partner parties after a special discussion held at the Communist Party headquarters in Borella today (20).

Minister Wimal Weerawansa said that the leaders and representatives political parties supporting the government, including the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Jathika Nidahas Peramuna met at the Communist Party headquarters in Borella this afternoon to discuss the selling of 40% shares of the Kerawalapitiya thermal power plant to an American company.
