Police have provided an update on the fatal accident which took place near Nanu Oya on Friday (20), which claimed 7 lives, including children.
6 injured persons have been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital while 3 persons are currently being treated at the Nuwara Eliya hospital. Rest of the persons have been discharged, the police said.
Meanwhile, the driver of the bus arrested over the accident has been remanded till 1st February 2023, after producing to Nuwara Eliya Magistrate yesterday (22).
