Manuja Kariyapperuma has been appointed as the interim Manager of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team for the upcoming two match test series against Bangladesh.
Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Management Committee, Professor Arjuna de Silva confirmed that Manuja Kariyapperuma will manage the team during the 2 test match series.
Kariyapperuma, who is the present Consultant of Women’s Cricket Operations and Development, has been appointed Manager of the Sri Lanka Team only for the Bangladesh series.
According to Sri Lanka Cricket sources a permanent Sri Lanka team manager will be appointed after the Bangladesh tour on a long-term basis.
Sri Lanka Cricket last month called for applications for the post of national team manager. Former Sri Lanka all rounder Farveez Maharoof publicly announced that he had applied to the position. (NewsWire)
