All Island Canteen Owners Association will increase the price of a milk tea to Rs.100 with the decision by milk powder importers to increase prices.
Milk powder importers had increased the price of a one-kilo packet of milk powder from Rs. 1345 to Rs. 1945.
The price of a 400g packet of milk powder was also increased from Rs. 540 to Rs. 800.
All Island Canteen Owners Association President Asela Sampath said that the price was increased to Rs 100 after also considering the prices of other essential items including Sugar. (NewsWire)
