The Police have warned of a significant increase in motorcycle thefts in various parts of Sri Lanka.
Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said 06 motorcycles were reported stolen within the last 24-hours ending at 06am today.
He said the motorcycles were stolen from the Embilipitiya, Mount Lavinia, Kurunegala, Katugastota, Puttlam and Koswatta areas.
Stating that there is a significant increase in motorcycle thefts in the country, the Police Spokesman warned motorcyclists to remain vigilant when parking their vehicles in public places.
He requested motorcyclists to take necessary precautions to prevent their motorcycles from being stolen. (NewsWire)
