The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) will undertake the expense of conducting PCR tests for immigrant workers returning from the Middle East.
Minister of Labour Nimal Siripala de Silva said Sri Lankan immigrant workers arriving in the country will be subjected to PCR tests at the facility set up at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake free of charge.
He further said it has been decided to provide the concession temporarily for a period of 03- months.
The PCR testing facility was declared open at the BIA recently, with a charge of USD 40 per arrival. (NewsWire)
