A truck transporting outdoor transmission goods, that was parked near the office of local media TV Derana in Nugegoda, has been completely destroyed due to a fire, as a result of a car accident.
A car that had been speeding had crashed into the truck with goods that was parked on the side of the road in the Delkanada area in Nugegoda last night.
A fire had broken out immediately after the crash, resulting in both the truck and the car being completely destroyed.
Two individuals in the car who had sustained injuries in the accident have been hospitalized.
No other injuries or casualties have been reported as yet with regard to the accident.
The fire has been doused by three fire engines from the Colombo Fire Brigade.
