The Officer-in- Charge (OIC) of a police station in the Gampaha Division has filed a complaint against an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) accusing him of having abducted his wife.
An investigation has been launched by the Kiribathgoda Police based on the complaint.
As per the complaint, the ASP is reported to have travelled in his official car on the Kandy road along with the OIC’s wife, which had been followed by the OIC.
The OIC says the car in which his wife and the ASP were travelling had entered a businessman’s house at Dalugama in Kelaniya on the Kandy Road.
An argument had thereafter ensued between the OIC and the ASP, after which the OIC had filed a complaint with the Kiribathgoda Police claiming that his wife had been abducted. (NewsWire)
