One person was killed and three others sustained injuries following an explosion in Avissawella today.
The Police said that the explosion occurred at a scrap metal yard in Avissawella.
It was reported that the explosion had taken place when one person attempted to open a metal canister.
Investigations into the explosion are currently underway. (Colombo Gazette)
