The 73rd phase of the smart classroom programme carried out by the Opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) was implemented at the Minhath National School in Dickwella yesterday (Jan 31).
The SJB, under the patronage of Leader MP Sajith Premadasa, donated a smart classroom worth Rs. 1 million.
Meanwhile, under the ‘Husma’ programme also implemented by the SJB, medical supplies worth Rs. 171.9 million have been donated to 56 hospitals across the country.
Under the transportation bus programme, the SJB has granted 80 buses, valued at Rs. 5 million per bus, to 80 schools for a cost of Rs. 389.2 million.
Equipment has also been donated to 73 smart classrooms for Rs. 70.7 million under the SJB’s Information Technology programme. (NewsWire)
