A meeting was held between UN Resident Coordinator to Sri Lanka Ms. Hanaa Singer and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in Colombo today (21).
“The Leader of the Opposition had a lengthy discussion with her on overcoming the current situation in Sri Lanka and obtaining the necessary tactical and strategic support for that purpose.” Opposition Leader’s office said in a statement.
Opposition Leader also met the World Food Program representatives yesterday.
“One of the worst decisions ever taken by the Government was the overnight ban on fertilizers. Now we must brace for a looming food crisis. Met with WFP and FAO representatives who can help make a difference” Opposition Leader tweeted. (NewsWire)
