Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has taken the Covid-19 vaccine.
“Under the strict instructions of doctors who treated me for COVID I proceeded to get vaccinated today. Doctors strongly warned me that failure to get vaccinated may result in a recurrence of COVID which may be fatal. In the context of my present health condition I acceded to their directive.” Opposition Leader said in a statement.
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa had previously stated that he will not receive the COVID-19 vaccine until everyone in the country is vaccinated.
“How do I jump the queue and get the vaccine? Can I wear clothes and do that? I have shame and fear.It doesn’t matter if I contract COVID-19, I’m not going to get that vaccine before the people of the country” Premadasa said in March. (NewsWire)
