Parliament passes resolution against SLC

The joint resolution presented by the government and opposition against Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been passed in Parliament.

The resolution was presented by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and was seconded on behalf of the government by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, after which it was taken up for debate.

The resolution titled, “Removal of the corrupt officials including Chairman from Sri Lanka Cricket Board” was passed with both government and opposition MPs supporting it.

As both government and opposition MPs supported it, no vote was held on the resolution. (NewsWire)
