A youth has died after being stabbed with a knife during a Christmas party that was held in the Pokunuwatte area in Mattakuliya yesterday.
The Police said the deceased has been identified as a 22-year-old resident of Mattakuliya.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the youth had organized a Christams party with alcohol along with a group of friends.
The youth had engaged in an argument with another person, who had stabbed him with a knife as the argument had escalated.
The 22-year-old who had sustained serious injuries had died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
The Mattakuliya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
