Yesterday, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that the special party leaders’ meeting has been cancelled due to security issues.
Many social media users had slammed the Speaker for making such an announcement at a time when the country was in a severe crisis.
The social media users had also pointed out that the party leaders’ meeting could be conducted via Zoom technology.
Many had also volunteered to set up a Zoom link to conduct the much-required party leaders’ meeting to discuss the current situation in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
