Sri Lanka has issued a 01-month travel ban on passengers from several countries, starting from midnight 30th June.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka said the travel ban will be in effect from 0001hrs on 1st July 2021 until 2359hrs on 31st July 2021 (Local time in Sri Lanka).
Passengers with a travel history in the past 14 days to Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe will not be permitted to visit Sri Lanka.
Passengers with a travel history of 14- days on transit to any of the above-mentioned countries will also not be permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka.
The travel ban has been imposed in accordance with instructions received from the Ministry of Tourism & Aviation due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
All online and offline airlines operating in Sri Lanka have been informed in this regard.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka said the previous travel ban imposed on India, Vietnam, and South American countries will continue. (NewsWire)
