Health authorities have been instructed to administer the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to children aged 18 and 19 from the 21st of October.
Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said the directive has been issued by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
He said the vaccine will be provided to the students from the said age group at their respective schools.
Students aged 18 and 19 who have left school can receive the vaccine from the Medical Officer of Health Departments, General Silva added. (NewsWire)
