If any Covid-19 infected persons are reported from those who participated in the funeral of Late Arumugan Thondaman and that results in a new cluster of patients, Chairman of Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association Mr. Upul Rohana warns that they will seek legal remedies nationally and internationally for acting in a manner violating the Quarantine Act.
He also said that they’ve been reliably informed that an organizer of the had even tried to influence the Health Services DG who is the authority of the Quarantine Act.
He further stated that their association requests the president to take proper action against the persons who have so much power so as to disturb the office of law-abiding government servants, while going on begging for votes with a dead body for mere political gains.
