President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has attended an event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 09/11 terrorist attacks that took place in 2001 targeting the US cities of Washington DC and New York.
The special ceremony brought together Heads of State, Ministers and delegates, representing more than 120 Member States and international organizations, who are in New York for the opening of the 76th UN General Assembly.
UN delegates also attended a tribute ceremony commemorating the 20th anniversary of the attacks at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York. (NewsWire)
