Minister of Wildlife and Forest Conservation C.B. Rathnayake today inspected efforts underway to stuff the remains of the rare black leopard that died in Nallathanniya in Hatton recently.
The Ministry of Wildlife is currently taking measures to stuff the remains of the leopard in order for it to be displayed at the National Museum in Colombo.
The rare black leopard sustained an injury to its neck just above its right leg after getting trapped in a snare that was placed in the Lakshapana Estate in Nallathanniya in May 2020. (Newswire)
