The Sri Lanka Police says it has not issued any statement pertaining to the economy to any media organization or social media platforms.
Issuing a statement, the Police said a fake notice claiming to be a 22-point statement on the economic crisis from the Sri Lanka Police is currently being widely circulated.
The Police further said official statements from Sri Lanka Police are issued through its official channels and via letters with the department’s official letter-heads.
The Sri Lanka Police has called on the public not to fall victim to such false information. (NewsWire)
