The Police have fired water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protest held by the main opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) in Colombo today.
The Police took action against the protesters near the Public Library in Colombo.
Several court orders had also been issued earlier today against the SJB protest.
The SJB protest was organized against the Government and to raise awareness over several issues, including the high cost of living in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
