A car had collided with two motorcycles and the driver of the car had thereafter stabbed one motorcyclist with a sharp object close to the Kilimipola junction on the Narammala- Katupotha main road.
The Police said the accident and murder had occurred around 04.00 pm last evening.
The Police suspect that the driver of the car may have carried out the accident deliberately in order to commit the murder over a personal dispute.
The deceased has been identified as a father of three from the Kilimipola area.
The Police have commenced investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
