Police have launched an inquiry over a fake audio tape circulated in social media claiming to be from World renowned Pathologist and Virologist Professor Malik Peiris.
The fake audio tape had allegedly criticed the health minister over current Covid situation in the country.
Police spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said that Prof. Malik Peiris had made a complaint regarding the fake audio tape. (NewsWire)
