A 57-year-old owner of a meat shop was injured after being shot in Jampettah Street in Colombo yesterday.
The Police said unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had shot the victim and fled the area.
The injured businessman was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital following the shooting.
The victim has been identified as a resident of Grandpass, while the cause of the shooting is yet to be ascertained.
Police investigations have been launched to apprehend the suspects. (NewsWire)
