The Police will conduct special anti-narcotics operations centering the Weligama, Midigama, and Imaduwa areas in the Southern Province.
Police Spokesman Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said the three areas have been identified as the hub for the distribution of narcotics.
He further called on all drug racketeers to immediately halt drug peddling operations in the areas.
DIG Ajith Rohana also urged relatives of those addicted to drugs to obtain treatment for the affected individuals. (NewsWire)
