The Police are seeking public assistance to identify dead bodies recovered from two separate locations.

A body of a male believed to be between the age of 34-40 has been recovered from a rubber estate in Poruwadanda area in Horana.

The Police believe the victim has succumbed to heavy injuries caused to his head. A gold chain with a Dharma Chakraya pendant has been found on the neck and a tattoo on one hand of the body.

Meanwhile another unidentified body has been recovered from south Pitipana beach area in Pamunwa, Negombo.

The Police say that the victim is believed to be between the ages of 30-40. An ā€œSā€ shaped tattoo has been identified between two fingers on the left hand.

The body has been kept at the mortuary of Negombo hospital and the police are conducting further investigations to determine the cause of death. (NewsWire)
