Postmortem PCR : New circular from Health DG

The Director-General of Health Services has issued a new circular revising the process for postmortem diagnosis of COVID-19 infection.

As per the circular, postmortem PCR is not mandatory for deaths, including hospital or non-hospital deaths.

The revised process allows postmortems to be done at the discretion of the relevant Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) if required. (NewsWire)
