A Gazette notification has been published announcing another detention facility under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
As per the Gazette, the latest amendment to the PTA pertains to the premises specified in the Gazette Notification No.2230/15 dated 04.06. 2021.
Under the amendment, the premises specified in the Gazette will be referred to as a place of detention for the purposes under Section 09 of the PTA.
The newly announced place of detention is the Counter-Terrorism and Investigation Division located at Kirulapone Avenue, Colombo-05. (NewsWire)
