President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has decided to imposes a ban on the importation of palm oil with immediate effect, President Media Division (PMD) said in a statement.
According to the PMD, the President’s Secretary had informed the Department of Imports and Exports Control to issue the respective gazette on Monday.
Palm cultivation in Sri Lanka had been banned six months ago. (NewsWire)
