The Parliament has been adjourned for 10 minutes after the opposition staged a protest against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa inside the chamber.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in Parliament today to attend the morning session.
However, the opposition staged a protest against the President, chanting ‘Go Home Gota’ slogans and holding placards, demanding his resignation.
The Speaker thereafter adjourned Parliament for 10 minutes due to the opposition protest. (NewsWire)
