A member of the Puttalam Urban Council has been arrested on charges of assaulting his father.
The Police said the 40-year-old Councilor is reported to have assaulted his 70-year-old father.
The Councilor was arrested following a complaint filed by the victim on the Incident.
The Police said the Councilor will be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
