Former Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has tested positive for Covid at Angunukollapelessa prison.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) former MP who is currently imprisoned over contempt of court charges.
He was escorted by prison officials to attend the funeral of a close relative earlier this week.
Meanwhile MP Harin Fernando tweeted that he will be self isolating as he met Ranjan Ramanayake earlier this week.
