Yehali Sangakkara, the wife of former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara has called on the government leaders to immediately resign.
Speaking at the ‘Occupy Galle Face’ protest site last night, Yehali said that the government must resign without further destroying the country.
Stating that the government is yet to provide a solution to the national crisis, she said the government that was elected by the people’s vote is clinging to power.
Kumar Sangakkara has also extended his support for the public protests in Sri Lanka from India where he is currently participating in the Indian Premier League. (NewsWire)
